Located in Victoria ,B.C. Not running,
A rare classic German built car with only 188,000 Kms. ( 116,00 Miles) It is super clean with original paint in very good condition. The body is clean and straight as can be seen in the photos. RARE Automatic tranny and the tires were near new when parked. The window glass is all perfect but the windshield leaks.
It has been parked for about 8 years and now I can not get it started. Getting some smoke but suspect timing problem which requires 2 or 3 VW "special tools." It will have to be towed to someone with the VW special tools. I called one of the shops that specializes in VW but they will not send anyone out to a job, nor will they lend tools.
The consensus seems to be that if it is not timing then the rings are stuck and need a very specific treatment to free them up.
Getting too old (80) and have just had a "mini stroke" again.
Please don't waste your time and mine with an offer if you have not seen the car.
