Up for sale are a Super RARE set of Sony SS-M7B 3 way stereo speakers. These speakers are in incredible shape and sound unlike anything I've ever heard from Sony and made in the USA!!! Rated for up to 200 watts, with very punchy bass and crystal clear highs. At the moment they are hooked up to a Sony ES Integrated and they sound fantastic! Very solid and heavy inert cabinets, Danish made drivers and a high order crossover, a 3-way speaker with 8" Bass Drivers and they can be Bi-Wired. The designer of these was so meticulous he even specified the amount of torque to be applied to the screws on drivers. The woofers are mostly identical to those used in the Wilson Audio Watt/Puppy 5.1/6.
They are sensitive to room placement, 3 feet clear of walls is when they sound their best. They also need a very high current power amplifier and 12 inch stands.
Stereophile writer Barry Willis raved about these Sony's: "What we heard was gorgeous, absolutely beautiful: rich, warm, and deep, with a seductive midrange, a shimmering, delicate, grain-free top-end, and a soundstage to die for," he wrote about the sound of the three-way SS-M7 in Miami, concluding that "WATT/Puppy performance is now available at Vandersteen prices in an American-made loudspeaker sporting a Japanese badge."
I hate to sell these but I am overcrowded and something needs to go, if something else sells I will be immediately taking these off the market.
